Building a small HD pc with hdmi for hddvd +bluray

I have a xbox hddvd drive which will connect to a pc usb port and play hd dvd's
So what i want to do is build a shuttle type pc with a hdmi output that i can seat neatly under my panasonic 42" to play hd dvd and also xvid/divx etc.
My idea is to purchase a pioneer dvd writer reader (the new blu ray one)(in stock here at oc for £152)
so i can play both types of disk but save money on the hardware!

What would you guys recommend for case / motherboard/ graphics etc
Its gotta have a hdmi output if its onboard graphics
Thanks
