Building a system completely from scratch

Hi,

I've built a few normal machines now and want to try custom pc's. I've bought the buttons, led's etc for the case but now I need to find a case that has nothing already built into it (e.g. no power button holes etc).

Where would I get something like that? Failing that where could I get one made?

Ok, I guess I'm barking up the wrong tree here.

Would anyone be able to recommend a case that is perfect for modding?

Well the budget at the moment is about £600.

I could start with sheet metal but I don't have many tools, nor do i have much space and I also have little experience with making stuff from scratch.

There are custom case builders, it's rather expensive. CaseLabs does some nifty cases. I know there are a few others in europe. Again, expensive, and I can't remember the names.

As for modding pre-made cases, I think it would be best to scout the web and look for something you like, because you can pretty much mod any case you want. Lian Li's are popular, they are understated, full aluminium and spacious.

Im sure there will be some fabricators in your area that could knock together something with some rough ideas/plans you have.

Thek, I have an unfinished Antec 1200 case with no holes at all for switches. I have not had the time to sell it etc as yet.

Indeed I have, but a conversation can easily turn into selling something as is has just done.

I tell you what, if I do decide to actually buy it I'll create a new thread elsewhere.

Well let's hope this thread stays within reg's. I customized it myself, then abandoned it to switch to my new TJ08-e system. Anyways my apologies but it's gone.
