I've been planning on building a new PC for a while, wanting to base it off the 6600K. The Asus z170 pro-gaming had caught my eye for a while, seems to be a good paring for the 6600k.

I already have a case and peripherals.

Mobo - Asus z170 pro gaming
Memory - TeamGroup Dark Pro 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-24000C15 3000MHz
CPU - 6600K

SSD - Sandisk Extreme Pro 480GB (sadly not available on ocuk)
I really like the long warranty on this, and have been very impressed with Sandisk products in the past.

I have an ageing ati 4870 that I can stick in this build until the 970 comes down a little in price. No OS required.

PSU is still in the air on which one to get. I am not going to be using dual-gpu, so won't be too power hungry.

CPU cooler - undecided, the case has plenty of room.

So, does anybody have an comments on the cpu/motherboard/memory combo, and any suggestions for the psu/cpu cooler?

Thanks for the heads-up. It's been a while since I posted a build on here.

No windows on my system, very ordinary big black case that has tons of room.

I'm not so worried about the PSU and cooler, more with how the main parts will work together and anything I should switch out.
