Building custom case

Hi all,

In the next few months I'm going to start building my own case from scratch, with the help of a few friends.

One thing I'm pondering is whether I can buy things like the Drive bays separately...

Literally, just the metal box, and preferably the HD bays.

Anyone know where I can buy them, if I can?

hello from Southampton. a mate did something similar and picked up lots of bits like drive bays from ebay. for another project he purchased the cheapest of cheap £20 cases and nicked some of the insides. but have a look on ebay

Look at any of Waynio's builds in the project logs section. Should give you an idea if you chose to pre-fabricate them

thanks for replies, buying a cheap case didn't spring to mind, good idea though. I'll check this waynio character out.
