I have cleared my wooden desk will this be ok, it won't be conducive or anything?
Bet you he comes last thing![]()
You can't be serious!
You want to build a PC on the highly conductive material of wood!!! What if you electrocute yourself or you get a shock off the timber? What if the table starts to smoke.
Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit! I just presumed everyone would have known wood isn't a conductor. Oh dear!
Top tip: Install the PSU into the case before any other component, keep it plugged in to the wall via the cable. However make sure it's off at the wall and the PSU!
This will ground you. Just touch the case before touching a component. Better than running across the room to touch a heater!
Your wrong, at college we were told that if someone is being electrocuted, then get a metal pole to pry him away from the source!! a piece of wood will just zap yourself also.
Honest![]()
You're at least 18, pushing 19 (Possibly 19 pushing 20) and you think wood is conductive?
...Should you really be building your own computer unsupervised? I mean, what if you decide to stick screws up your nose or in your ears?
