Ok guys, got the new build on, don't have the gpu or Hdd in yet but got my ssd in. I wanna get into the bios but all that comes up is 'reboot and select proper boot drive or insert boot media in selected boot device And press a key'. How do get into the bios?

Stock, the processor uses Turbo Boost which gives the extra performance.

I believe it will be a case of disabling these, and slowly increase the multiplier.

As for RAM, I believe there should be an option to select XMP which will run your memory at optimum speed.

That's the point! I don't want to Overclock! It took me about 3 hours to build this thing and it's decided to overlock it's self! This is my first build so I have idea what to do

its fine with turbo on if not overclocking
you wont know ur normal temps until after you have windows and drivers installed
so just find/set ahci and get that installed first :)

The CPU can have turbo on fella. The heatsink is good for 4Ghz anyway. XMP profiles are pre set to give you the best timings and speed for the RAM.

Even at default settings the CPU has speedstep. So the CPU idles at a much lower speed to save power then when needed it is automatically increased for you. If you download CPU-Z later once the OS is on we can show you it in action.

Whilst in the Bios check ACHI is enabled in the sata options. Set the optical drive in the boot priorities for first then you can save and exit.

If installing to a SSD, leave the storage drives sata cable disconnected. You can plug it in once the OS has been installed.

Jheez gonna take ages. How can I wipe my hard drive and start again then? And no, it was set to IDE, it wasn't picking up my hdd so I went it bios and seen in IDE
