Great List Skid32, SirCanealot nah im not doing encoding on it, just gaming, so it'd be better to get lie the phenom ii x4 instead?

Yep, however if you're not going to be building for a few months I'd wait and see what's available then as prices are changing all the time. The best deal now might not be the best deal in November (or even 2 weeks from now).

Thanks Redmint, ill kep that in mind. Ive ordered a Case for my PC anyway, its the Zalman Z7 Plus, so im happy about that.

I would recommend going the intel i5 route if you can budget around it, better for gaming :). Do you want a quite pc? Ati cards are "usualy" quieter.

To be honest mate, my budget is pretty tight, besides ill be getting the cpu probably in a month or so, as ive got priorities with my budget also.

yeah im getting an ATI radeon hd 5770 card, not sure which type yet (hawk, sapphire, blah).

The mobo choice though, im stuck between a crosshair iii or a Gigabyte GA-880GA-UD3H AMD 880G (Socket AM3) DDR3 Motherboard. The gigabyte is better for budget, but i'd also have to buy a separate sound card yknow. But the crosshair comes with a supreme x-fi sound card. :)

There is a GTX285 going for £139 around OCUK, it'll give you 10fps+ more than the 5770 at high res, though its not DX11 and doesn't break the bank.

In addition would ditch OCZ Gold Memory, apparently its pants. Would stick with the Gigabyte perhaps and get a Asus Xonar D1 for £40 which would be better than X-fi.

There about the same price, 5770 (SAPPHIRE) is cheaper too, but im not sure what to do, not too sure if its worth getting a directx11 card now, as my budget is kinda. So apart from the extra 10fps than the 5770, performance wise, is it the better card.

Yes i suppose your right lol, i hadnt heard bad things about the ocz but i was recommended the G.Skill Ripjaw above. Righteo then, gigabyte it is, :)
