Building my first PC, Need help!!

Just a heads up, Your not allowed to link to competitors so you might wanna take them down before a mod comes along. Link them to product reviews or if they are being sold on OCUK, you can link them to that.

if you just tell us what was in the link we can help. theres no harm in saying your getting/have X computer system or A, B and C components, but posting a link to it isnt allowed unless its from OcUK

ok, removed the links and put the proper names :-)

I'm Going to build my first PC, and I am going to build a mini itx, partly because their small and partly because they just look cool.
Basically i have selected some components and just need someone who has a little experience to tell me if these are all compatible with each other and if some are a wrong choice.

So heres my components.

Gigabyte GA-D525TUD

500GB Seagate 2.5in SATA 5400RPM/8MB Cache Hard Drive

OCZ DDR3 PC3-10666 1333MHz Gold Low Voltage 4gb Kit

picoPSU-90 12V DC-DC ATX PSU

C0AA-S1 Perspex Case

So these are all the components i'm thinking of unless I have missed something, will these be OK, The main things i'm worrying about is the RAM and the Pico-PSU. Another thing is, what cables will I need?

Thanks for any help in advance,
Bigladluke :)

PSU is the suck.

1600mhz ram usually is cheaper than 1333mhz ram, it is on OCUK anyway.

5400rpm disk, cant you get a 3,5" 7400rpm, Sansung F3/Seagate barracuda?

Perspex case? whats that about

Ok, i'll get this instead

the 2.5'' was just because of the case, i could change that, would it be really slow

Perspex case? whats that about

i just didn't like the look of the other ones and this just appealed to me and it was cheap.

sorry for being so noobish

Chill Stu - or have you run out of your "souvenirs"? ;):p

PSU is one area that one should NEVER skimp on.

For £40 there is a wealth of great PSUs out there, BeQuiet Pure Power L7 530W, StealthStream II 500W, CX430 etc :)

I just looked at lots of cases but unless there really square and big they only will fit a pico-psu.

How rubbish are these because a lot of people seem to use them?
