was going to put up some pics but flickr won't let me upload for some reason
have it fitted now but slightly askew on a couple of the rear ports which makes it look a bit of a bodge job TBH
I don't mean to sound patronising but are you using the right I/O? There is usually one in the case when you get it, you need to take that out and use the one that came with the motherboard.
hitman, could you let us know what case you are using please mate???
The standoffs can be unscrewed and put in holes on the motherboard tray somewhere else.
Line them up and simply place in, then screw 1 screw in on the mobo near the middle so it won't move. Like someone said, you get an i/o shield with the case, simply nock it out, place the 1 you got with your mobo and place it in. It may need soem elbow greece as they can be a pain to place in bud. Look on tube to see vids on how to install mobo's. Could answer your problem bud
It's ok, I'm glad you mentioned it as its the sort of thing I would do as I'm a complete newby to all of this
but
I did install the I/O that came with the motherboard
tried imageshack but seem to be jumping through loads of hoops and my internet connection is playing up
thanks for your help on this but going to leave it for today as I've been going at this for quite a while now
maybe tomorrow I can upload the pics
