There is a wire on the case I dont know what it's for, I havent plugged anything in for the usb 3.0 slots.

usually the usb 3.0 slots connection for your case is just one long usb lead that you run out the back of you case and plug into a usb 3.0 port on your rear IO of your motherboard... genius idea i know..

Thats your 20 pin connector it plugs into a big rectangular port on the right side of your motherboard to give it power, also upload more photos like this as you got along it will help.

No it isn't it's the 19 pin USB3 connector. Plug it into the motherboard's USB3 header.

Why are you fannying about with USB headers?

Plug the the thing into the mains and see if it works. Sort the detailed cabling once it's working.

Ill need it to use mouse and keyboard to get into bios and such
