Plug the mouse and keyboard into the sockets on the back of the motherboard.

And that isn't the USB3 socket so it isn't going to fit.

Is this a Z77-D3H? If so see page 28 of the manual.

The header for that lead is to the right of your board just left of your 24 pin connector and slightly down

I didnt get any wires to connect the usb ports on the back to the psu, Will they just work?

i think thats where the usb 3.0 header might go not sure though

Thought that aswell mate, But the wire is too small to fit in the port

and to your question about powering your ssd and your hdd with the same lead, yes you can.
