I have purchased a new rig from overclockers and all my parts have arrived ( Great service aswell, very impressed! :D )
I Am going to be putting the system together myself but my knowledge of computer building isn't too good, I have a good understanding of all the parts ect iv'e just never built a system before and want to get it right first time without ruining my new components, Goes without saying really :)
i was wondering if there is any guides any of you guys could direct me too, or any hints/tips that you could give me that will come in handy. Bearing in mind i do not even know where to start! Below i will link my components.

Case: Antec 1200
PSU: Corsair TX850 ( Non-Modular )
MOBO: Gigabyte P67A-UD5
Processor/CPU: I7-2600K (1155)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H70
GFX Card: Asus GTX 580
Memory: 8GB Ripjaws @ 1600
SSD: OCZ Vertex Bigfoot 90GB
HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB
Soundcard: Asus Xonar D1 7.1

Many thanks, Danny.

What a muppet! I Have just seen there is a system build guide stickied, Which i am going to use as a guide line to get me started :), Oh well, any advice will still be much apprechiated :)

I would just advise that you take you time, its easy to put everything together so much so its like a adults version of lego!

One thing thats important is that you place the CPU & heatsink on before you place it into your case and read and re-read the motherboard manual so that you have a rough idea of where everything goes!

Good luck and don't forget to show us some build pics!

op has an Antec 1200 and a H70, I dont think fitting HSF on the board before mounting mobo in the case applies here.
H70's back plate and retention ring can be fixed before but the rest has to be done after fitting the mobo in the case I think.
Also H70 has to be mounted on the lower rear case fan position.

Finally here are some pics of my build :D

Only wrapped the first image because of the size, hope you guys like it ;D

Thinking about it i should've bought a Modular PSU but at the time, i decided to spend the money to put it towards my G35 Headset fund, For my first proper build i'm quite happy with the cable management :D

Cheers pal,
And yeah, i have had 4 or 5 PC's before ( And a Short lived Sony Viao) but all came prebuilt and had nothing on this, This time round i saved up my money and wen't all out! (Took quite some time, i am only 15, nor do i have a job) And very glad i did, only had it a few days and can say it is well worth it!

I Have never overclocked a system before but i understand the basic's of how it works ect ect, Would you recommend giving the processor a tweaking too? Graphics & Memory wise i think i shall be fine without OC'ing just yet :D

Need some cable management!
You can hide most of the cables behind the right side panel. 8pin 12V connector also looks like long enough to route through there.
Good on you for doing this kinda thing for a 15 year old.
