hi all my system is pretty much ok a socket 939 with gig of ram and 3200 proccy

now my kids who are 9 and 11 want their own comp for xmas now i have a spare 15 inch monitor and a gfx card to put in it

now i am thinking slightly upgrade mine and put my bits into the antec case im getting them

thing is i cant really afford to go conroe so thats out and waiting is not really on as this will have to be ready in next 7 or 8 weeks with no extra budget available

have 300 quid to spend and need all of what you see below

im thinking maybe go am2 and take a chance that the next wave of amd proccys for am2 mobos are as good as conroes and bonus a simple upgrade

do these parts look ok and if they all fit and work nice went for the desktop case for them as space is tight in bedroom and would also like to add a tv card in future for them make it like a media set up

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2GHz (Socket AM2) - Retail £54.99

Asus M2NPV-VM Micro ATX (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard £49.99

Corsair 1GB DDR2 Value Select PC5300 Dual Channel Kit (2x512MB) (VS1GBKIT667D2) £74.99

NEC ND3550 16x16 DVD±RW Dual Layer ReWriter (Silver) - OEM (CD-037-NE) £18.50

Antec NSK2400 Desktop Case - 380W SmartPower PSU (CA-053-AN) £49.99
Subtotal £248.46
VAT £43.49
Total £291.95

I dont know much about the rest but I have the 3500+ and I think its awesome value for money, everything is quick and zippy in windows, and combined with my 1800XT I play all my games on high.
