Hi All

Building a new rig this friday, before I hit buy, wanted some input from you all.

I am buidling this as a game rig, I do also use it for work.

What I have atm is, asus A8N-SLI Premium, AMD FX57, 2gig ozc plat ram, bfg 8800gtx oc1

what I am going to buy:

- -Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 LGA775 'Wolfdale' 3.16GHz (1333FSB) - Retail

- -MSI P7N Diamond nForce 780i SLi (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard with Free Creative X-FI Card

- -OCZ 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2

I dont overclock and it will run stock, but the MB has all the other bits I want, PCIe 2.0, eSATA etc.

Am I getting the right ram ? should I get something dif ? is there another MB that has basicly the same stats ?

any help would be great.

If your not overclocking there is no reason to go for such an expensive board. Is there not any P35/31 board with everything you need. PCIe 2.0 and eSATA are pretty standard, what else do you need thats on that board.

The ram is fine when running at stock speeds. just go for whatever runs the lowest voltage at C4.
