Sound Card? Seems like everything else gets top marks though.

I've heard the Corsair HX PSUs are meant to be top quality but not owning one, yet, I can't give you a first hand recommendation but it's the one that was recommended to me when I was specing (is that a word?) mine.

There's something about those Vista upgrae coupons as well, someone else could probably explain it better but I think they are only valid with a pre-built system.

what other competitors?

i copied pasted from my word document.

i apologize.

i am looking at all sites on the internet as any one would do who is looking to spend £1000+ on a pc. i post on these forums because from what i have read, you people are the most informed.

any help would be greatly apreciated.

thank you

Cooler , rest looks fine but CNPS7700-CU is a bit outdated now, get a heatpipe cooler like zalman 9500 or 9700, ideally a tuniq tower 120 or Thermalright ultra 120

E6300 is a waste if your getting the 8800gtx.

Buy an asus p5w or p5B-D instead of the stupidly overpriced EVGA S775 nForce 680i, then you can afford a better cpu like the E6600. For a Psu forget the coolermaster and get a corsair HX 520W, truly awesome psu. For the cooler get a tuniq tower 120 too.

But as you seem prepared to wait a month, then do that, as the quad core cpu's will be out as well as the new ati gfx cards, so price drops will be in order. But i have to stress don't waste money on that silly 680i mobo :D
