hi there, im looking at building a new system, currently i have

CPU: AMD Athlon x2 3800+ / MOBO: DFI NF4
RAM: 1gig DDR PC3200 TwinMos / GFX: Ati X1800xt
MONITOR: Dell 20.1" FP2001 / HDD: IBM 20gig + 200gig / O.S: WinXP

my looking at new case, mobo, cpu and memory.

what you think of this:-

Abit AB9 Pro (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (£93.99)
Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "LGA775 Kentsfield" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail (£343.09)
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC) (£66.96)

Subtotal £428.97
£504.04 inc VAT

May I recommend the Abit AB9 Quad GT motherboard if you're intending to overclock the Quad.

It's one of the few that will overclock the Quads over a 340mhz FSB.

Or wait a week to see what the new P35 Intel boards are like.
