Building pc for friend - major problems

Hey all, got an asus a8n-e, athlon 64 3000+ 2 gigs OCUK value ram, enermax 485watt psu, all plugged in and ready go, pressed on, nothing happened

got the board brand new through post this mornin.

Looking closer at the board the green led indicating power is running to the board is not lit up, everything looks fine, psu works fine in other pc, but no green led on even when power is on and it should be working, have I got a duff board?

Are all necessary power connectors plugged into the board? On this picture looks like it needs a 24 pin ATX connector and a 4 pin connector also.

Did you try the other psu with the mobo?

yeh tried 2 PSU's with it, nowt dead as dodo

just tried the ram in another machine that works fine, as does vid card, only could be mainboard or cpu now

the green LED doesnt come on that says power is going thru

had a similar problem a long while back, but with a different board.

first make sure you have connected the 4 pin power cable.

and then try to reset the bios.

if it does not work then it could be just a problem with the board.

check that the floppy drive(if you have one) is properly connected.
