Not sure if this is the right forum but I was wondering if it would be possible to make and sell PCs for a profit, maybe on eBay? From what I can tell there's almost no profit but I was wondering if anyone had done this and, if so, how they did it. I neeed some money :D and I thought there's no better way than doing something I enjoy :D

Thanks in advance :D:D:D

won't happen. You couldn't make enough money to justify the time without charging so much that price yourself out of the market. You might get a few local jobs and you might be able to whack a premium on top but I don't think it's worth the time.

Maybe buying and selling in the second hand market, or creating custom cases such as steampunk themed ones...but even then I think you are going to need some skill and good advertising.

Its too easy for people to pop to PC world and buy a system, and sometimes with finance.

You can try repairing PC's but again, normally a saturated market.

I think there is just so many people doing it, you can search ebay for example, bigger companies will buy in bulk and get cheaper prices.

That's not to say you couldn't sell a few but you would struggle to compete. Then you have the issue with insurance, what if people complained or if you needed to replace a part, would you be able to asap?

Somebody could sue you or claim the PC didn't arrive. Don't want to put you off, however, it's very competitive. Why not try maybe one a week or something and look into some kind of insurance.
