Hi, im going to be building a computer for web browsing and using microsoft office.
i will not be playing games on this computer and if i do it will only be football manager type games.

i have a budget of £600 for everything including keyboard, mouse, screen and operating system. i allready have some speakers.

what would you recommend for my budget, i want it as small and as quiet as possible.

Thanks :)

Small as in M-atx or small as in M-itx? I have put together a build in the Bitfenix Prodigy case with three fans, totally silent. Most of the rest of the components I had spare just needed a mobo and a small SSD.
But for £600 I have n doubt the folks here will spec you a fine rig.

It does depend on how small, if it's just for word processing etc a Sandy i3 will probably do you fine... I'll have a go at speccing something up. You probably don't need a gpu either tbh.

You can go Mini ITX , prodigy build on that if you want.
Would get a much better PSU as well, one that is modular like the Coolmeraster Silent Pro.

Good motherboard though.

Prodigy case

CM Silent Pro PSU

Could also get a cheaper monitor if you wanted:

For your uses it will be a fine CPU. As long as you don't do a lot of gaming it should last 5 years of office work at a guess.

Idleman really not meaning to be rude but.
Tiny case + non modular PSU = disaster.
Only thing I can say beats my spec (again dont take offense) is the addition of a SSD.

Not meaning to be rude.:D

I agree the G850 is good enough, but the i3 will prolly last maybe a year longer? Depending what office programs can use HT.

And the PSU bit isnt nonsense :p
Where we he have room for all the cables
And say he wants a GPU a year down the line...

Revised spec, thanks on the motherboard btw ;)
