Can anyone recommend me a good comparison site for b&c insurance.
Northern Rock want to charge almost £400.
I have heard that moneysupermarket was a good place to start but it appears to be down.
Anyone had good experiences re b&c cover from companies?
 
Call the AA. They're a pretty good broker. Got us a good deal when no one else would insure us due to not having window locks.
 
no idea what they are like but I've seen the damned annoying advert on the cable channels - confused.com - maybe just car insurance tho.
 
We got ours through Direct Line too.
I phoned around and went online to about six others and a pattern soon emerged - nobody was beating the Direct LKine quote so I went with them :)

Recommend at least getting a quote from them as they do things like pay workmen direct in case you need to claim whereas others expect you to stump up and then claim the cash back, that kind of thing.
 
have got a number of quotes including all of your suggeations so cheers for the advice.

In the end I went with Sainsburys insurenca at only £230 which I thought was a very good price. I think they are linked with halifax.

They offered a very good level of cover too.

For those with direct line they were the leaders up until Sainsburys.
 
Check out zurich insurance they were by far the cheapest when I had to get new cover a couple of months back.

I was with cornhill before that and though they weren't anywhere near as cheap they did a good job when we had to claim a couple of years ago.
 
bf and i got content insurance with direct line covering two laptops etc. just under £10 a month.

i would definitely give them a call or look online
