Built computer - what now?

I'd just like to first point out that I have no optical drive.

I've built a computer that I believe to be working properly. As I turn it on for the first time expecting the BIOS, I get this console text:

'Boot and select proper boot device
Insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key'

I have a USB with the Win7 files on it and waiting. I insert the USB into the back of the computer, hit a key, and it repeats the boot instructions.

So, I'm stumped. Any ideas?

Oh man, this is awful... The display is all weird and it's not giving me any option to do anything. It starts out with a square of partially revealed image of the motherboard with a cursor over it, and by moving the cursor I can reveal a very distorted form of the image, with a partial Gigabyte logo in the top left corner. I also saw an 'options', bit it quickly disappeared.

Ok, I can partly navigate the BIOS, but its not helped by the glitchy display and the fact that I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to be doing. It appears to be letting me click parts of the motherboard on the diagram, but I can't say for sure what happens when I do that.
