Built new PC but Lacking performance ?

Hi Alll

I have built this pc for my brother inlaw (he wants to play farming simulator 2013) this game is a bit new to me and im unaware of its demands etc but its playing PANTS ! i installed it on my pc (Spec in sig) and it just sticks at 60fps. However on his newbuild its struggling to hit 30fps and his spec im sure should be handling this game fine. I turned the graphics down and it makes little difference. Its only loading 3 of the cores on the cpu to about 50-60% and the graphics card to about 30% according to the asus tool so what could be wrong Spec is

Im fairly sure this PC should run this game flat out the resolution is 1680x1050 and playing with this only ups the fps by 1 or two.

Is the system in high performance mode in the power settings?

Have you checked the power connectors to the GPU?

What are the temperatures like?

All drivers installed and up to date?

Power settings for what ?

GPU Power connectors fine and lights on each one

I belive so i have that rather nasty AMD Catalyst thing installed (Nvidas way is so much nicer)

hmmmm I think there might be somthing wrong with the graphics card, Its now saying in CPU Tweak that the temp is 0c and gpu 0% but fan duty is 737 million% ad clock speed 300mhz

was on balanced. Will restart and try again.

in the game its still only maxing out at 40% on the GPU still getting 26fps

with the graphics as low as they will go the fps is 44-46

going to install battlefield and report back

Well have tried everything above and still getting shocking frame rates. Total pants ! now im getting all pi55ed off with it lol. On the lowest settings its getting 40-50 fps and looks like pacman level graphics. How can it be soooo bad ?

battlefield 4 is not installed yet. will do in a mo. Agree on the GPU not being seen by the game but its loading it a little 30% ish

yea the cpu speed jumps up to 3.8 when in a game etc

Do you have a stronger PSU you can put in? something like 550W+?

I have my 850watt but the powersupply is not warm nor is the fan going at it. my 500watt did run mine ok for a while with the 480 so should be fine on 450

im running the 3D mak demo at the moment, Its now showing me FPS but its silky smooth will post what ever results it gives, Then will do the GPU-Z thing

Looking about it does seems that farm sim is actually quite a demanding game. its the draw distance that causes a problem, If he stays looking down slightly fram rate shoots up, look into the distance shoots down

WOW my pc can run it at 60fps at a higher res ! and scores 3032 in 3d mark, His PC scores 5213 and runs it like a bag of Cr@p ??? that makes no sense
