Hello

We are a medium-sized UK company with about 80 staff.

Our local web hosting company has told us that they will no longer be able to host our
13 or so email accounts.

They have suggested that they migrate the email hosting to "Google Apps which is a free email service provided by Google specifically for businesses and provides Email, Calendaring and Online Documents."

But I`m thinking that it might be better if ZEN were to host our email accounts.
(We have two internet access accounts with ZEN already)

I don't know anything about `Google Apps` and was wondering if anyone could offer some advice.

Cheers, Nigel

We've only got 1 email account set up.... mail@
set up email forwarding at the hosting end, all legitimate mails to that email account (helps cut down spam)
the exchange server collects it (pop3) and then distributes it to the different users using a set of rules

Why won't you go and pay for hosted exchanged email accounts, it will look professional and it's not all that expensive and it'll have you company domain in the address.

This. If your a business Microsoft do some really good set of tools that you can buy for, I think it's around £3.00 PP P/M. You get shared calenders, email, contact lists e.t.c and it's well worth it. The interface is outlook webmail latest version. It's brilliant!

Or you can use Microsoft Outlook with it if you already have it + contacts, calendars etc.

Do you really need Exchange?

It would be much quicker and easier to set up Google Apps with your domain name at no extra cost. I recently set up my second Google Apps account and it took like 10 mins.

You can even customise it with your company colours and logo, and it'll look nice and professional.
