What technique did you use to get the kart in sharp focus and the background blurred?

Panning—you move the camera throughout the exposure so that it follows the moving object, leaving the object in focus while the stationary background gets a nice dose of motion blur.

Nice shots here, good sense of speed. Karting always looks even better though at ground level I have found.
