Howdy,

I am soon to start digitally archiving a massive amount of photos, so ideally I need a scanner that has an auto photo feeder.

The only one I have found is the HP Scanjet 5500C, or the bolt on Epson thingy.

Do these things exist nowadays, or am I going to have to build one out of lego and a DSLR?

Ta.

BTW It has to be a consumer grade one, not something costing the same as a small car, and I don't want to take them to Jesspos et al (no they are not porn).

I bought a film scanner from that auction site a few years ago and scanned every thing I needed to and then sold it on the same site for a profit :)
You can get a dedicated film scanner for less than £100 where you feed a full strip of negatives into it, much easier and better quality than a flat bed scanner.

I need a photo scanner, not film scanner (loads of them about).

There must be an add on module or all in one feeder system available. I did have the idea of using a busted Epson Photo mate to feed the prints to a circuit that would use my DSLR to take the photo and then eject the current print and get a new one. This will be a challenge, so that's whay I want a ready made one.
