bulk re-encoding folders of mp3s to lower bitrate for mp3 player?

probably not the right section but hey, i have all my cds ripped at 320kbps but is there a program that will reencode them to, say, 196 for an mp3 player and put them in a new directory/drive leaving the originals intact - something that will do multiple folders en masse??

make a playlist using whichever media player you chose then load the playlist into dbpoweramp converter
