Bulk remove Vista Widgets - resolved

My 18 month old daughter managed to add about 80 of the same calendar widget to my wife's Vista laptop. Each time you click on remove it the laptop freezes for a minute before it comes back. Does someone know of a way to clear out all the widgets at once. I can then just add the ones back in that used to be on there.

Really don't feel like wasting 2 hours of my life with this:)

You could close the sidebar.exe process then browse to C:\Users\USER NAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets and delete the calendar gadget directory and reboot perhaps?

Thanks for that. I see this is going to frustrate me - I'm not a Vista User.

"You need permission to perform this action" although I am logged in as administrator. Just do what I tell you to do and stop thinking you are intellegent Vista!

Did that still would not allow me. Then I saw the settings.ini file - removed all the calendar entries and now back to normal.

Thanks for the help anyway - got me thinking in the right direction.
