Bulldog8mbit is an LLU product, basically if u sign up with them for their 8mbit your exisiting phone line with BT will switch to Bulldog. They will then be your phone and internet provider.

If you sign up in early April y may be able to take advantage of their new ADSL2+ product.

If your not on a Bulldog LLU, can you still get internet off them and keep your existing BT line?

Becaue when i put my number into the Bulldog checker it offers my up to 8mb (even though I can only get 2mb atm) for £20 a month with no mention of there phone service. Yet if i put my friends number in, who is on a Bulldog LLU exchange, then it comes back with up to 8mb and the phone service.

How do Buldog compare to Telewest Broadband regards to customer service and problems stuff like that, because I am also a telewest broadband user I pay about the same for my 2mb connection but I will be getting a free upgrade to 4mb in the next month or so, but I was also wondering about switching

not sure but ADSL2+ is meant to be @ max 24mbit. but Bulldog will be offering max 20mbit. I think

@metachi, if your exchange is llu enabled, you can always ask for another line from bulldog. Not sure if they still running the £1 installation offer.

I have at home BT phoneline and Bulldog phone/ADSL. it costs me £40 for the Bulldog line/adsl. the BT line is recieve calls only so £30 quaterly.

I have just put my postcode in on the bulldog site and it says that they can not offer me a service at the moment, looks like sticking with telewest braodband

Bulldog site will tell you if they've done your exchange.
Samknows will give (not necessarily up to date) data for all the ISPs.

"LLU enabled" is mostly meaningless though. It's Bulldog LLUed you're interested in.

lol , You are approximately 350 metres from the exchange (straight line distance).

looks like i got to stick with telewest. =\

if you use the comparison tool on adslguide then bulldog lose on reliability, speed and customer services.

doesnt 10 meg from telewest interest you?

Assuming you're paying £35 per month for the 2Mb service and are awaiting the speed uplift.

1. You've been able to get 4Mb for the same £35 since the beginning of October 2005

2. You will be upgraded to 10Mb, not 4Mb.

3. The upgrades will take place by the end of March for the Birmingham & Midlands areas.
