You should have waited for them to return and killed them with a pot of touch up paint. It would have been both ironic and over the top and I think your solution lacked irony.

Yes I remember that much Tim. Can't for the life of me recall the circumstances though. I have to guess they were significantly different given the general reaction this time round.

I don't agree with the keying either. Two wrongs...
 
Circumstances were slightly different in that he found the culprit but the guy frankly refused to do anything. Still merlin has been added to my official **** list as well as the OP in this thread.

Merlin should have gone to the authorities with the guys reg as should the op.

What car do you have that was damaged?

It is excessive that you then proceeded to key the car. You want to hope they don't have you on CCTV.

back in my day bumpers were for bumping and protecting the rest of the car.

Have they considered : the other person was old or unwell and genuinely didn't notice?, or that they'd gone into the hospital to get some paper and a pen?

I really hope someone randomly vandalises your car one evening just so you know how it feels.
 
chances are with todays society the other cars owner maybe thought the op probably wouldnt notice and walked off, i was parked in a car park once waiting for my mam and i watched this zafira reverse back out right into a parked clio at some speed, she looked round and drove off. i dont condone what the op did but sometimes the standard of driving just gets you down

You should have taken photos as evidence, taken the car reg down and gone to the police.

Has anyone considered this: If the person who bumped into the OP and caused the damage, had realised and was trying to get away with it.... wouldn't they have parked elsewhere.

The FACT that they left their car parked adjacent to the op suggests they did not realise OR they had left their car there while going to get pen&paper. OP is a cancer on society; I REALLY hope you get caught out!

A) You are parked in a HOSPITAL. Did it ever occur to you that, just maybe, they had more pressing matters to deal with? Such as a friend/relative could be hurt?

B) They scratched your car by ACCIDENT. You keyed their car on PURPOSE. You are a Vandal, and I hope you were caught on CCTV and will be prosecuted.

C) The car park probably had CCTV, but you were too moronic and/or lazy to consider this option of asking the Hospital security to identify the driver and ask them to contact you for repairs.

D) You're a tit.
