Just kicked off today live on ESPN.

Opening Game - Friday 20/8/2010
Bayern Munich vs. Wolfsburg

Saturday 21/8/2010
Hamburg SV vs. Schalke 04

Sunday 22/8/2010
Dortmund vs. Bayer Leverkusen

All live on EPSN this weekend.

Bayern are leading 1-0 right now with a goal from Müller on the volley inside the first 10 minutes. Really good goal.

Raul and Van Nistelrooy play against each other tomorrow. Should be a good match. This is my first time watching the Bundesliga from day one, not sure what to expect.

It's a decent league, number 3 in Europe according to UEFA and number 1 in terms of average audience attendance, a record only bested by the NFL and the IPL Cricket league, which if you consider the sizes of those countries isn't surprising. Most people on here really won't care though, as we get very little of the games broadcast on Sky and ESPN, you'll need to be able to watch Sky Deutschland, ARD, SPORT1 or a dodgy stream to get most of the German footie.

Heres the goal. Shame Robben is injured.. would have made the game better.

Not bothered, aslong as they show 1-2 games every other weekend. Theres already far too much live football to watch on tv as it is. La Liga and Serie A haven't even started yet.

I wouldn't bother with Serie A unless you like being bored. Good goal btw, liking Bayern's new kit, stripes instead of hoops this year.

Yea, I remember watching channel 4's sunday morning coverage of Serie A and remember it being pretty dull.

I think I am most looking forward to watching the La Liga and seeing how Ozil plays for Real Madrid.

2nd half of the Bayern game about to start.. still 1-0. Bayern have dominated the game so far. Snipers seem to be all over the arena because Ribery has dived 5-8 times so far over nothing.

lolRibery. :D

He looks more and more like the hunchback of Notre Dame every time I see him. I think Bayern will probably win the league this year, although I think HSV and Leverkusen will run them close. I think Madrid bought Ozil just because they can, I think they're starting to hoard all the best midfield and offensive players again like they did a few years ago with the Galacticos.
