Bundle £500

Hello All,

Looking at spending around £500 for an upgrade. (Mobo, CPU, RAM). I have a 7970 (picked up for £200 from the new shop launch!) and my Q6700 and Gigabyte EP-45 is letting it down.

I've been looking at the pre overclocked bundles but really don't know what to go for, it would seem either:

Or do I build it myself and save the cash, baring in mind I probably won't overclock it as I don't want to break it and don't have the time. Do I spend that extra bit of cash buying a faster processor that would equal the overclock?

I'll be using it for gaming...so I guess if Games like hyperthreading, then hyperthreading would be good.

No, but if all you want it for is gaming, then the 3570k is more than sufficient.

TBH you'd REALLY have to try hard to "break" it...overclocking involves a few steps that would take you less than 10 mins to do to give you the performance of an i7 @ 4.2

I guess from my point for an extra 60 squid I'm getting an extra 8 GB ram and an i7 and its pre overclocked with the overclock warranty..

unless the system you have suggested is going to be far superior than that above? With the 10 min overclock..
