Okay my brother is after a computer for work. Not massively demanding tasks, lots of windows open but no huge photoshop projects or anything like that. It will also very likely be used for heavier gaming at a later date (just has an old AMD6950 at the moment) but new GPU possible at a later stage.

So I keep hopping between a 'work' computer and a potential gaming system and to be honest I'm beginning to feel like there is little difference :)

So we are after:

Motherboard - Seen a good price for a GA-Z87X-UD4H
CPU - already set on a 4770K
CPU cooler - love my own Noctua D14 or ?
Memory 16GB please and .... matching colours :D Know nothing about memory :(

£800 budget so very healthy. Main thing I am stuck on is the motherboards all seem very very similar. Struggling to see what the extra money gets you?

2 ssds for RAID 0, though if you don't need RAID you could ditch one and get a monitor or mb/m or something...

free cooler with mobo will net you some overclocking headroom, thought you might want to stick another fan on it to keep your colour scheme (I'd recommend a spectre pro blue; just got a few of them and they're great. come in 140mm and 120mm flavours.)

Cheers mate

He has the case and psu (although thinking about the case his might be an old generic 'gaming' case so could well add that to the build.

That Gigabyte board often comes up in builds so I'm assuming the more expensive ones aren't going to add much given his needs.
