Bundle Stars to become Fanatical.com

not really sure why they'd rebrand to that? odd choice of name
Isn't it. Apart from their flash sale star deals the bundles are what make the site unique - yes they stock plenty of games but that part of their store is no different to any other key site. Some of their bundles and star deals have been amazing value - hope that continues.

Yea seems really odd. It's not like it was a rubbish name, and the new name is a bit cringe worthy. I almost thought it was something to do with the esports team fnatic.

Some sort of reaction to IGN buying out Humble Bundle perhaps?

WHAT?

A shame, Humble were a decent company. Good ethics too, apparently they gave devs the biggest share of profit from all e-sellers. They supported DRM free too.

Will the charity element continue in the same way as IGN will just want profit?

It is slowly becoming a two horse race with Steam and GOG with Steam having a 5 lap head start.

I don't know the ages of posters in this thread (I'm 33) but I imagine that the rebrand is aimed at a younger generation to appear totes wicked cool bangin' or whatever.

I feel like it dilutes the brand a little. With Bundle Stars I knew what they were doing....Fanatical is just kind of generic.

Fanatical sounds like an esports team or something... Really strange rebrand, especially when 'bundle' is synonymous with good value indie games due to the success of Humble bundle.
