I really like a good homemade burger. Thick, juicy hunk of fresh meat (ooer!), fresh lettuce, soft roll, a big hunk of tomato and some mayonaise/tomato sauce/mustard/relish/chutney/whatever...

What I also like, it making my burgers a little different each time. Adding chillies, herbs, spices, etc... (yesterday was chilli and fresh coriander). All of which can combine to make a good burger even better. I'm here seeing what you guys like to add to your burgers to make them that little bit better. I watched Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall make a Bloody Mary Burger the other night and it looked awesome!

Just for the record, it's as simple as throwing your meat () and your ingredients into a big bowl, mix it up, flatten them out and barbecue on a very hot grill with a small amount of oil on the burger to help it not stick.

So, what do you do for the extra flavour?

Further to my burger thread :D

I am throwing my burger bbq next week. As a change from the usual bbq formula, I have created a recipe and will only be making burgers, to order (although I might do some hotdogs too :D). I have narrowed the menu down to 5 recipes:

1) Standard beef/cheese burger
2) Thai pork burger
3) The bloody mary burger
4) Curry burger
5) A strange one for the last option..... I made a fatty (latticed streaky bacon, rolled up with layers of more bacon, cheese and pate - and now frozen) which I intend to slice up and put inside beef patties...... I call it the BCP burger :D

I can see a busy couple hours in the kitchen and there's a couple dozen people visiting but I am looking forward to it :)
