I have a high Def Video here in .mkv file, I need it to be burnt to DVD ASAP.

Any ideas on how to get it onto a single layer disk!? (4.7gb from 7gb)

Cheers :)

you will lose the HD quality.
It will be like converting a 700mb XviD to DVD once you're finished lol :D

You need to just burn it to a DVD9 (dual layer) DVD...
It wont work in a DVD player but it'll work on other computers.

Still be higher bitrate than it was on digital BBC2 ;)

Well not really, xvids are not usually 720x576 and have a much lower bitrate. Mkv will give you the full 720x576 resolution and maximum possible dvd bitrate.

But a complete waste of bandwidth downloading it.
