Hi everyone! A few months ago I got a tv tuner, (which I have to say was a great purchase!) and have been recording tv ever since. I
have a 500gb hard disk, and it was already filling up with programs and games and the recorded tv is taking a bit chunk out of it. Is there anyway to burn these shows to a dvd so I can delete them?

Thanks

I haven't tried this so don't blame me if it goes wrong (make a backup :p) but Batch Convert WTV files to DVRMS and MPEG looks promising.

It looks like wtv files are basically mpeg files. The link above should get your files converted from wtv -> dvr-ms (some Microsoft specific mpeg container -> mpeg which will play on most video players and isn't too far off the DVD format and is widely supported.

It should be fairly speedy as I doubt it will have to re-encode the video and as such you shouldn't lost any quality either.

No encoding, the converter goes as fast as your disk can read and write. :)

You can also right-click on individual .wtv files and convert directly to .dvrms - it'll create the file in the same directory.
