I have a collegue in work who is having problem burning a powerpoint presentation to a CD, I was asked for some advice but I have never used powerpoint and I don't fully understand the problem of why she can't just burn it normally using Nero.

She told me the she wants to copy the presentation to CD in such a way that it will just play from the CD but the presentation won't copy over.

Any one know or understand this problem as I havn't a clue what's she's on about really.

There is a feature in PowerPoint 2003/2007 called "Package for CD" (called Pack & Go in previous versions), which will burn the presentation directly to cd along with the PowerPoint viewer (so that the presentation can be viewed without installing any software)...

I assume she is getting copy errors when trying to burn directly.. she could try using "Copy to Folder", then burn the contents of the folder to cd using Nero.

There was a program out a while back called Powerpoint to DVD . I think it converted the PP files and put them onto a DVD disk so you can play them on a standalone player or in the PC .I got it but have never tried it out .

If she can't actually burn the presentation to CD then it's more then likely that she has a reference to file within the presentation that can't be referenced or isn't physically on the local harddrive. So get the error and see exactly what the problem is.
