Like mentioned. Don't use a CD to put films on, use cd's for music, use DVD's for movies/films.
It's an absolute waste of time putting it on a CD. What are you planning on watching the DVD on? through your dvd player? Some dvd players have divx support which means you can just burn the image straight onto the dvd without converting it (lot less time) and your dvd will play it no problem. If it doesn't support divx, use the mentioned program, "winavi" to convert it to dvd and then use a program like nero to burn the video files. Winavi also does the burning, but it's proved unreliable in the past... just use nero express, select video files.
There are loads of guides on google, how to convert and burn a downloaded movie.
