Burning video DVD's in Windows 7

Can anyone recommend some free software for burning video DVD's from Windows 7.

Did look at freeware software but everything appeared to have adware and did not dare install.

I tried Microsoft DVD burner but it crashed when I tried to burn the DVD.

Another suggestion here to try Ashampoo burning studio. Been using it for a long time now ever since Nero went downhill with the bloat they kept adding.
