Burnout demo - whats going on? im a noob :)

I won a race but nothing happened, I didnt unock or get anything, finding the stunt challange on there very hard, 50k points!!! lol I barely get 4k by fluke i got 39k by accidently doing a backwards reverse skid or something.

Basically whats the point of the game? Me dont understand.

There are many different types of race in it:

Race - Race from point to point or start to finish, come first to win the event.
Road Rage - Takedown as many opponents as possible (whilst beating the target) to win the event.
Burning Route - Beat a specific time to upgrade your car.
Stunt Run - Score a specific amount of points by doing stunts (Barell Roll, Billboard Smashes, Flatspins, Super Jumps etc..)
Marked Man - Get from Point 'A' to Point 'B' without being takendown and eliminated by the men in black.

In single player you also have 2 other modes, Showtime where you flip your car on its side and takedown as much traffic for the highest damage amount possible and a road race time for beating a set time on each street.

Then there is online challenge modes where you have to accomplish up to 350 challenges from jumping off buildings to meeting at specific locations and online races.

50k is very east to get once get get used to where everything is. As a comparison some later stunt challenges require 360,000 points in 1 minute - you need to keep the stunt continuous. It definately one of the best parts of this game imo.

I have to disagree. I find it by far the most frustrating, but then I also find it requires a huge amount of luck, which I don't like. Rest of the game is fantastic however.

Yeah, I hate them as well, if I do a stunt run and crash in the middle of the combo I get 20k but when I make a large combo I get 600k and what it comes down to is driving to the same place all the time and doing the same runs.
