Burnout Paradise 360 - Quick Question

Am thinking of getting this game to play split screen with the missus - is this possible? (IE can you play local 2 player split screen and not can my missus play on my 360!

)

what about takedown then? I love the burnout series and want to take my missus out so which can I play on the 360 to do so as paradise will not work?

Burnout: Revenge has 2 player split screen and is a blast.

Takedown is Burnout 3 (Xbox), Revenge is Burnout 4 (Xbox/Xbox360) and Paradise is Burnout 5 (Xbox360).

Both Takedown and Revenge say more than 1 player locally, apparently Takedown is 1-6, but that sounds like LAN and not Split.
