I've just been watching some stuff on Burnout Paradise and as usual it's just looking and sounding pure awesome. Is definately on my wishlist of things to be buying!
I think it just sounds so appealing, a large completely open map to drive around and discover stuff, 60fps of beautiful smashed up glory!

Anyway, I haven't really been paying attention to much recently but it was the last 1up podcast I listened to that brought it to my attention.
They say that the game looks that little bit better on PS3, which I'm sure we're not surprised at as Criterion have openly admitted that it's the lead platform. It sounds like you need to have them running side by side to see the differences and obviously, none of them look bad.

It's the multiplayer aspect that I think sounds awesome, just messing about and then quickly dropping into the online mode and messing about with your mates. From what they were saying, it sounds like this will be difficult to do over Live though?
Does anyone have an idea of what they're meaning? Having never used a PS3 online, I'm not sure of the differences but I'd hate to think that us 360 users will be cursed with a shoddier online system for what is, in my opinion, one of the top games that's coming out.

[/badly worded mess]

I would also have been happy, that didn't seem good enough for them though! Just looks so great and the whole open world system just sounds like it'll make the game so much better.
I need it, now!

it'll probably be no different, you can invite friends via LIVE into the game no doubt or it'll be like Test Drive Unlimited where you see random people online, i mean it has been done before - well on the 360 it has. I'm sure it'll be just as good

I think the difference with the PS3 version and 360 online is that the PS3 has whats they called EZ drive, where you press a button on the d pad 3 times and you go into online mode straight away ( not much info on this as yet).

If it's difficult to do over Live then that's because they have been lazy designing it.

the main difference between the PS3 version and the xbox 360 version is that the PS3 fanboys will say the PS3 one is better and the 360 mob will say the 360 version is better.

It's not so much how the 360 will handle Multiplayer, it's more a case of how well those Multiplayers are when I get my Plantronics racing down the track.

THEN we'll sort out the men from the boys, and believe me, I've the largest ePupes when it come to Burnout.

As mentioned already in this thread I think it can be done as we have already seen it in Test Drive.

i too wil go along with this standpoint.

the only difference i can see between the two platforms is that everyone on PS3 can get the multiplayer for free but only 360 gold people can have multiplayer.

Xbox live handles the jump in and play system better than any other ive used including PC imo

you should see how well its been implemented in halo3, everything revolves around being able to find your friends team-mates quickley and easily. brilliant stuff.

This is EA both version will likely be identical in menus etc. PS3 Version features 1080p @ 60 fps for nicer graphics and use the sensor for motion control during aftertouch. Which should be much more fun.
