I recently bought Burnout Paradise the ultimate box for £19.99 on PS3 and i was just wondering is it a good game or should i have got Guitar Hero?

Play it and find out?!

Burnout Paradise is very much liked by most here, but only you will know if you like it, or if you should have gone for a totally different game.

its a great game , ive had it ages and still play it ocassionally because of the downloadable content ,its one of my top 10 games since ive owned my ps3

It contains the big updates and bikes and party mode or something. However, it is now out-of-date again because they released the 1.9 Big Surf update after that box was released. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't do an Ultimate-Ultimate Box sometime nearer the holidays.

I don't know what it was, but Burnout Paradise never really grabbed me. Sure, it was fun, and the slow motion crashes gave me sex wee, but I had no definite reason to keep playing. Every few races I got to upgrade my license. Whooptee ***ing doo, all my races are reset, meaning i re-race them in faster cars!
Multiplayer I found didn't work very well except in free-roam. The connection just couldn't keep up with the game. It wasn't the connection or anything like that, but even with a ping of 52ms and a lightning fast connection, the ridiculous speeds you could reach made racing at that speed, trying to take out your mates virtually impossible outside of using a LAN
