Hello,

Just started playing this on Live and have a few questions.

When playing race games other players seem to beable to boast at the start of a race ? how can i do this ?

What car is rated the best for online play ?

When playing crash events i never win :( the other players seem to beable to make the time last longer ? how can i do this ?

Thanks Ben

While the countdown is starting, you want to hit the gas on the number 3, at 2 hit the brakes while still having the gas on and causing the tires to start spinning. At one take your hand off the gas and time it right so when you start, you hit the gas at the exact time the countdown has stopped. This will give you the boost start and you will know by the flames as well as the message “ boost start ” on screen, you will also get a score for it.

Do not hit the “A” button while trying to get the boost start, doing so will cause you to miss it. Now, an easier way to know is by the rear brake lights. Time them to blink in the order described above and 9 out of 10 times you will get the boost start.

From a message board, although I can't do it :(

There's no really best car, personally I tend to use one of the downloaded ones from the market place, the Plantronics, because it's quite good at taking corners and is light enough to gain boost going over the slightest bump. However the Revenge Racer isn't as nimble but has more weight against it so can take out other cars that bit better.

As for the crash events, there's no real easy answer other than to simply examine the course the more you play.

For example there's one course called Wish upon a car which has a rather looooong jump. You can either get a heavy car and try to go round the bends to get to the other cars but you'll need a pretty slowish and heavy one to traffic-check the cars. Or, you can get a light and fast one to handle the jump. It's tactics really, reason why they are lasting longer than you is simply because they've caused a sweet-spot effect somewhere in the crash which is causing, say, both lanes of traffic to crash which is taking longer to finish.
