Game stutter HD 3850

I get some stuttering in Burnout and few other games. Anyone know why maybe?

Check sig for spec, xp with sp3. Using DNA 8.12 drivers agp.

A list of things i would try.

Check that the overclock is stable.
Check temps of cpu and gfx.
Try memtest.
Run Malwarebytes, ccleaner, Spybot and do a defrag.
Try different gfx drivers.
Make sure you have a decent PSU.
Format.
