Burzynski vs FDA

If you watch the film it addresses your questions.

I'm not posting to try and create a flame war, I just thought the film was compelling viewing and maybe worth a watch for some people on here, I was obviously wrong, no biggy.;) It's o.k you can go back to Eastenders and Coro now.

yet you can't summarise it? And I dont really watch tv, sorry, I prefer reading scientific papers...:p

Post 11, that's as much summary as you need. What do you want, a detailed breakdown of the film?

If you're not interested, then go back to your science papers, until you watch the film your comments are just trolling tbh.

if you watch the video, the trials that were conducted did not use the correct dosage of the treatment that Burzynski recommended.

In other words, the FDA intentionally used ineffective doses to discredit his work. Meanwhile, the US government was applying for patents for his inventions behind his back.

Hmm, ok....

Not to sound like a 'conspirator'

Ah, I see what you did there.....

Hmmm, well there doesnt seem to be these miracle cures, even in his own trials. Other than what he claims. Been done for fraud and numerous other run ins with FDA and advertising. Sounds like con artist preying on the vulnerable.

The clinical efficacy of antineoplastons combinations for various diseases have been the subject of many such trials by Burzynski and his associates, but these have not produced any clear evidence of efficacy

I just want to clarify here. I don't claim that any of his stuff works, and I don't know for sure that the video is accurate. But if it is, it is an interesting view of how large companies operate. I was just trying to summarize the video.

I acknowledge there is evidence suggesting that his treatments are not effective, and I am in no way a supporter of his work. I have just seen the video myself and found it interesting, so was trying to show things from their side. If it turns out that he's full of hot air then I fully accept that.

I don't know either way but it was interesting viewing if nothing else :)

His treatment genuinely seems to work in some cases, even the FDA have now had to concede to some degree and have given full permission for clinical trials of his antineoplastons, which have now apparently entered phase 3 testing.

Dr. Burzynski has received FDA approval for his therapies, but is not and has not been supported by the NCI or other government granting agencies. He is only able to run a few clinical trials at a time. His therapies seem to cure about 25% of the people on his trials who have the worst kind of brain tumors. Compare that to only 5% of success rates with conventional therapies (radiation and chemotherapies).
