On a bus in Cleveland, Ohio. A female passenger hits and spits on a bus driver so he loses it and gives her a smack.

Can't link to the video due to the amount of N words and swearing, but it looks like the woman is fresh outta the ghetto.

Do you think he was right to respond with such violence?

My wife is from Cleveland and she tells me its quite a rough place lol.
 
I saw this & posted it earlier on Facebook saying "Holy ****, had it coming though" and received the following comments:

"she wanna be a man, i'm gonna treat'chu like a man"

Obviously we don't know what happened beforehand but the girl definitely needed to be put in her place...which apparently didn't happen as she comes back on the the bus to carry on the fighting. Upercutting her was maybe a tad much but then again she did get back on to fight more.
 
I'd have to say that he was wrong.

I don't particularly think its warranted to answer words with violence, nor is it OK to maul someone for a little push and a spit. I'd have no problem with him pushing her off the bus and defending himself if need be, but that seemed like an overreaction.

Still, I feel a bit sorry for the guy. I think we all know what it feels like to want to do that. She came off a scummy too.

Short answer after seeing the vid, no of course he wasn't "right" to respond the way he did, but that he did doesn't shock me one little bit.

She's abusing him while he's trying to drive a bus load of people. I doubt he'd be the only public servant that would do this in light of the level of abuse. Playing Devil's advocate for a moment, with the vid on youtube, I'd hope this might deter others from doing similar.
 
I found it funny how the people on the bus were enjoying the show, filming it on their phones etc, but once he reacted they tried to intervene and break it up.

Silly bitch. You can't just act aggressive towards people and assault them and expect zero repercussions. Sucks to be her.
 
I wouldn't condone his actions, but I find it hard to condemn someone for snapping under an apparent torrent of abuse. Although I don't know the details.

The only reason I would see him punished is that you have to say that violence cannot be excused and even if it could be, what would constitute sufficient harassment? I wouldn't want drivers throwing punches for this:


Though with that said, if what she said turns out to be prolonged and nasty, that should greatly mitigate his punishment. And she should still be done for her part.
 
Gender is irrelevant. Women should not hit men, men should not hit women. Resorting to violence is for people who can't argue their point of view with words because they're just too stupid. She shouldn't have hit him and he shouldn't have hit her. Both in the wrong.

Exactly this - and if the skanky cow had spat on me, I'd have done the same. Haven't seen the clip (on a REALLY slow internet connection this morning), but presumably the driver is now being done for a racially-motivated assault?

EDIT: Bloody hell, if what delbuenno has posted is the punch in question and she got up from that? She's no woman - she's a goddamn Terminator!
