Hello. My bus interface on my 8800 GTS 640MB is showing at PCI-E 16x @ x1 when i overclock to 3.6ghz on my wolfdale. This is on a P5B Deluxe mobo.

Anyone got any idea why it goes to x1 when I overclock? it's fine when I have it at stock. Also ran orthos for a long time and had stable CPU so, is this a mobo problem? or does my card just not like it ?

Thank you.

Does the system seem slower? e.g. if you test with 3DMark06 do you get a reduced score compared to normal? If the video card score stays the same then I'd probably not worry about the fact it is being reported at 1x, the chances are then good that it is simply being picked up incorrectly.

Common prob with the p5b deluxe this, try upping the pcie frequency to 105 and/or the NB Vcore starting with the lowest value of 1.25v.

Yes when I run 3dmark06 I get 4.5k or lower. And when done at stock with normal pci-e i get 9.8k.

Will give this a try when I get in.

Are you overclocking the PCIe bus as well?

Nope
