Bush 20" LCD

Ok so i just got a new Bush LCD 20" T.V./Monitor today but when i put it on my pc it seems very pixolated not too much just on pictures but i find it hard to read writing and thats whats anoying me.. Anyway is there anyway to make this better? or improve it... i no a lot of this will be because im sitting quite close... but is the only way to make it better to stick a low resolution on ?

EDIT: Some help needed plz otherwise the screen goes on the wall and im back to a 15" :O
