i'm currently with natwest but i'm tired with how old it feels.

i'm hoping for the following:

  1. notification for payments going in
  2. exports to sage/excel
  3. and ideally, but not required, it would be good to have users see one of the accounts, so staff for instance can get a balance update for one account that payments are made into, preventing them from having to call in to check a payment is made, but this i accept is highly unlikely.

No one that I’m aware of has push notifications

Use Lloyds Commercial and Barclays - no issues to export data from both. Any of the commercial accounts you can have multiple logins for and change the permissions around (ie view balance for xxx accounts only, generate payments but not authorise / authorise only up to certain value etc.)

monzo has push for both payments in and out, natwest (who i'm currently with) have just going out which isn't much use to me, it's the payments coming in i need to know as will save a lot of time for deposits, customer payments etc.

can set up alerts on Santander for deposits/withdrawls over whatever amount you set it to

I've not got the app, just get sms alerts but it says text/push

I think both Starling and Tide shoud meet your requirements. I'm currently with Tide but considering a switch over to Starling.

Changed from Natwest to Monzo last year and I prefer it, however my business account doesn't have a huge amount of transactions going in and out so for a busier business doing big figures i'm not sure how it'd work
